This festival is one of remembrance of the Lord as the protector of His devotees and the remover of all obstacles and difficulties on the path of devotion to the Lord. Lord Nrsimhadeva, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, is known for His appearance in the world in order to save His devotee, a young child Prahlada. Lord Nrsimhadeva is prayed to daily at all ISKCON temples. This prayer is observed as a protection mantra.

H.G. Vrajendra Kumar Prabhu is a senior devotee from Russia. He was born in 1960 in Vladivostok. Since his childhood he has been interested in yoga and Eastern philosophy. He got his master’s degree in philology, translation, Asian studies and the Japanese language from the Far Eastern Federal University. In 1979 he read the ancient scripture Bhagavad Gita for the first time.
