Nrsimha Caturdasi - April 28 and April 29
You are invited for a two day festival on April 28 and April 29, Nrsimha Caturdasi. It is the appearance of Lord Nrsimha, Lord Krishna's incarnation half-man and half-lion.
Lord Nrsimhadev is the destroyer of all obstacles on the path of one's devotional service and protector of one's devotion. He came to protect His devotee Prahlada from his demoniac father. We offer specific prayers to Him at the end of worship, begging Him to please forgive any offenses that might have been committed unknowingly, and to remove all obstacles on the path of our spiritual lives.
The actual date of His appearance is on Saturday, April 28. We are going to have a small celebration in the evening and then next day, on April 29, we will have the main festival.
